The added hologram makes your check extremely difficult to reproduce. 2-HEAT-SENSITIVE ICON (THERMOCHROMIC INK) The flame heat-sensitive icon is made using thermochromic ink. The flame fades from the heat of your finger when pressed against it and reappears when cooled, allowing for an instant security check for the payee. 3-TRUE IN-PAPER FOURDRINIER WATERMARK We included a true in-paper watermark (chain link image) pressed into the paper at the mill to simplify authentication. Fourdrinier watermarks are virtually impossible to reproduce by fraudulent means. 4-INVISIBLE FLUORESCENT FIBERS Our check paper stock includes invisible white and blue fluorescent fibers that cannot be scanned or photocopied and only appear under UV light, aiding in authentication. 5-RED/BLUE VISIBLE FIBERS Our check paper stock includes randomly placed red and blue visible fibers for copy resistance. 6-ULTRAVIOLET DULL PAPER Paper brighteners were eliminated from our paper stock to reduce reflectants, enhancing the effectiveness of covert security features while also helping to detect non-dull counterfeits (i.e., general copy paper). 7-TONER ADHESION (TONERFUSE® II COATING) Our TonerFuse® II adhesion coating securely anchors dry toner images to the paper, making toner removal nearly impossible without causing visible damage to the paper’s surface. 8-CHEMICALLY SENSITIVE PAPER Our paper stock features high-polarity and low-polarity solvents, oxidants (bleaches), acids, and alkalis, all designed to discolor the paper when washed, providing alteration resistance. This is especially visible in our chemical wash detection box. 9-HIGH-RESOLUTION BORDER Our check features an intricate border that is difficult to duplicate. 10-MICROPRINT BORDER A second check border is created using a tiny print that can only be read with a magnifying glass but will blur when photocopied. 11-MICROPRINT SIGNATURE LINE (ONLY IF PRINTED ON CHECKS WITH SOFTWARE) The signature line(s) on our custom checks is created using extremely small print that can only be read with a magnifying glass but will blur when photocopied or scanned. 12-PADLOCK ICON ON FACE (ONLY IF PRINTED ON CHECKS WITH SOFTWARE) The registered Padlock design is a certification mark of Check Payment Systems Association. This icon indicates that the check has incorporated additional security features. 13-COLORED PANTOGRAPH The colored check pantograph background makes the check difficult to reproduce. 14-PRISMATIC MULTI-COLOR BACKGROUND The subtle gradations of multiple colors in the check background are difficult to reproduce accurately on most color copiers. 15-WARNING BAND OF SECURITY FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS Our check displays two visible warning bands that state four of the check’s security highlights allowing the viewer to quickly judge check authenticity. Features and benefits are on the back of our high-security check stock with a hologram. 16-“ORIGINAL DOCUMENT” SECURITY SCREEN If the back of the check is photocopied or scanned, the “Original Document” text will distort or disappear. 17-WASHBOX We added this whitewash box to make it easier to detect check stock discoloring that results from the use of chemicals to remove ink on the check. Our additional use of high-polarity solvents, low-polarity solvents, oxidants, acids, and alkalis in our paper stock are all designed to discolor the paper when washed. 18-MICROPRINT ENDORSEMENT LINES The signature lines for the check endorsement are created using a tiny print that can only be read with a magnifying glass but will blur when photocopied or scanned. 19-MOBILE DEPOSIT CHECK BOX Our endorsement section includes the text, “CHECK HERE IF MOBILE DEPOSIT”, to help detect double depositing. 20-LAID LINES A pattern of lines are printed on the back to deter cut-and-paste alterations of the check. 21-PADLOCK ICON ON BACK The registered Padlock design is a certification mark of the Check Payment Systems Association.
