This company is hands down the best legal experience of my life!! Philip Burnett was engaged, listened to my concerns, was honest about my options and kept me informed throughout the process. I felt like my case was incredibly important to him. Not once did I feel like a number in a long line of cases. It is rare in this world to feel heard and understood, especially in a legal situation, but that is exactly what I received and you will too! Call them NOW!

The Legal Luminary: Philip Burnett

As the owner and Managing Partner of Burnett Law, Philip Burnett’s journey in the legal field is a testament to his dedication to helping people. Born and raised in Tennessee, Mr. Burnett’s commitment to his community runs deep. With over 26 years of legal experience, he has become a trusted advocate for countless clients in Crossville, Cookeville, and Shelbyville.

Mr. Burnett’s educational background, which includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, has equipped him with a unique perspective on the intersection of law and business. He further honed his skills at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence.

A Beacon of Compassion

Mr. Burnett’s empathy and passion for helping others shine through his professional and volunteer work. During his time at the University of Tennessee College of Law, he volunteered to represent unemployment compensation claimants, showcasing his commitment to those in need. This early dedication laid the foundation for a career centered on advocating for individuals facing adversity.

Philip was beyond helpful when I went to him to get all of my legal documents, i.e. will, power of attorneys, advance care plan, etc. in order. We asked many questions, and he answered every one of them so knowledgeably. Philip was so approachable and put all of my concerns at ease. I highly recommend him for any of your legal needs.

From start to finish it was a very professional operation. Mr. Burnett and Miss Jamie were there to answer any question that I had and kept me well informed. I never got "I'll check and get back with you." They were patient and understanding, something that is rare today. They are there to help, not there to string you along. Their whole staff was a blessing to me when I needed help.

A Multifaceted Advocate

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Burnett has demonstrated his commitment to giving back to the legal community and the broader society. As part of the Executive Committee of the Disability Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, he tirelessly works to provide continuing education for fellow attorneys involved in social security disability practices. His advocacy extends to promoting legislation that benefits the social security disability practice in Tennessee, ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive the support they deserve.

Mr. Burnett’s dedication to the community is further exemplified by his role as a Board Member of the United Fund of Cumberland County. Through this involvement, he actively contributes to nourishing the hungry, assisting those in emergencies, supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and aiding low-income families, the elderly, and Cumberland County’s youth.
